1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dress The Past ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Dress The Past is an AI-powered web application that allows users to take a photo and generate images of themselves wearing historically accurate clothing from different countries and time periods. The Service requires authentication via Google to use.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Account & Authentication

To use the Service, you must sign in with a valid Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. By signing in, you authorize us to access your basic Google profile information (name, email address, and profile picture).

5. User Content & Photo Processing

You retain ownership of the photos you take through the Service.
By taking a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely for the purpose of generating your historical portrait. Your original photo is transmitted to our servers and to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, xAI) for this purpose.
We do not store your original photos. They are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the AI-generated image is created.
You must not photograph other people without their consent.
You must not submit content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others.

6. Generated Content

Images generated by the Service are created using artificial intelligence. You may use, share, and download your generated images for personal purposes.
We do not guarantee the historical accuracy of generated images.
AI-generated images may contain inaccuracies, artifacts, or unexpected results. You accept these limitations.
Generated images include a watermark identifying the Service.

7. Content Moderation

Photos submitted to the Service are subject to automated safety filters provided by our AI partners. Content that is flagged as unsafe or inappropriate will be rejected. We reserve the right to refuse processing any content at our sole discretion.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures.
Use automated tools to access the Service without permission.
Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or violates any applicable law.
Use generated images to deceive, defame, or harass others.
Use generated images to create misleading or false historical representations presented as real.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use of the Service, including but not limited to inaccurate AI-generated content, service interruptions, or data loss.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice.
